Camp Philosophy
The Learning Tree day camp offers campers a variety of experiences geared to provide for a summer of fun and growth. Our campers are able to participate in a multitude of activities in an open and relaxed atmosphere. They are encouraged to pursue their interests without any pressures placed upon them.

Camping Staff
Our head counselors are preschool and school age teachers chosen from our teaching staff during the school year. They provide a warm supportive atmosphere where fun, growth and learning will flourish. Our summer counselors have experience and expertise in a variety of areas and specialties.

Camp Facilities
Our camp is located in the quiet residential section of Middle Village, Queens, directly across from Juniper Valley Park. The camp is on its own block of land with a large fenced in outside play area. The play area is a unique rubberized surface with appropriate outdoor equipment. Our building is a modern, air conditioned structure designed specifically to meet the needs of our young children. The 2 swimming pools at our camp provide water fun for the children. Our licensed lifeguards offer assistance to beginning swimmers.

The Learning Tree Summer Camp provides services to families in the following neighborhoods: Middle Village (11379), Maspeth (11378), Glendale (11385), Ridgewood (11385), Elmhurst (11373), Forest Hills (11375), Rego Park (11374), Woodside (11377), Kew Gardens (11415), Woodhaven (11421), Richmond Hill (11418), Ozone Park (11416 and 11417) and Howard Beach (11414).

Junior Division Camp Program (2-4 Years) 2024
We provide a full range of traditional camping activities including arts & crafts, play time, singing, dancing, sports, water play, and many special events for the children's enjoyment. Swimming is encouraged and enjoyed on our premises. We provide Coast Guard approved life vests for the children. The summer is planned to provide your youngster with a safe environment where new friends can be made and new experiences enjoyed. Children in the 5 year old group will go on trips once a week. Senior Division Camp Program (5-13 Years) 2024

Our senior program is designed to provide campers with growth through personal interaction, where new friendships can be formed and enjoyed. We offer a variety of activities including arts and crafts, complete sports program (baseball, basketball, soccer, track) swimming, bowling and field trips. Field trips to various places of interests will occur at least once a week. They will include bowling, movies, miniature golf, as well as evening trips and sporting events. We provide a safe, well supervised environment where youngsters can enjoy each others' company and learn through fun experiences. Please view our camp schedule and calendar for additional information. Transportation is available in our Department of Transportation inspected mini buses.
